Facebook and What’sApp activate Virtual Meeting Features

Ever since the outbreak of Coronavirus across the globe, virtual meeting have led the corporate and individual activities with various apps coming to the rescue. This, in turn, has replaced our normal routine of physical meeting to discuss salient and frivolous issues. Some of the apps that has come to the rescue include zoom, Cisco Webex Meetings, GoToMeeting, Google Hangouts Meet, join.me, BlueJeans, Cisco Jabber, TeamViewer, Adobe Connect and others have been the bride of every organization across the public or private sectors used for meetings, teachings, via webinars among others.

In like manner, with the current trend and gradually increasing demand for teleconferencing, Facebook has lashed on into video chat game with its product feature, Messenger Rooms, a new feature that will allow up to 50 people to take part in a video chat, even if they don’t have Facebook accounts.

This new innovation is not only limited to Facebook alone, as WhatsApp is also included which will as well give the users of the App the chance to make a video call with 8 people which used to be 4 initially.

Additionally, this new innovation brought the return of “Live With”, which lets users host Facebook Live streams with another person, to bring guests or performers on to their show. Also users now have the ability to watch Instagram live videos on desktop computers and participants on the video will be able to use augmented reality filters and change their background in real-time.
