Kim Kardashian West has opened up about her harrowing and painful journey to motherhood in a new campaign for her SKIMS clothing range. The mum-of-four got candid about her horrific pregnancy complications in a video released on Thursday which saw her speak honestly about her push for a third labor birth despite doctors’ refusal.
The KUWTK star, 39, relived her ‘pain’ as she spoke about suffering from severe pre-eclampsia or toxemia which ultimately forced her to turn to surrogacy. The Hollywood A-lister described the devastating moment her doctors told her: “We won’t even put an embryo in you as that would be like malpractice.”
The promotional video sees the reality TV star wearing a chocolate-brown coloured lounge set from her new clothing range as she talks to the cameras about her pregnancy struggles. She started by explaining that pre-eclampsia is a condition women suffer during pregnancy which sees ‘the mom’s organs start to shut down’.
Kim continued: “The only way to get rid of that is to deliver the baby at 34.5 weeks. I had to go into emergency labour -so they induced me and north was just four pounds and six weeks early.
