Purpose
We have assembled here to celebrate an extraordinary event. It is the beginning of you into the world of academia. This is because you carry the future. You are the people that Nigeria and indeed the rest of the world to has hope in. It is therefore my singular honor to address you as we kick start the orientation programme aimed at introducing you to KolaDaisi University.
Welcome
Firstly, I wish to congratulate you for being among those who qualified to join the KolaDaisi University, Ibadan, family. You are likely to be admitted into this University not just because you passed your examinations but because you have someone who can sponsor you in a private University such as ours. I therefore urge you to make use of the opportunities being made available to you.
Secondly, I wish to welcome you to KolaDaisi University, Ibadan, a young but promising institution of higher learning. The University is founded on values. It aspires to produce scholars who embody Excellence, Accountability and Transparency, Social responsibility, Innovation, Integrity and Freedom.
Here you will be presented with lots of opportunities and freedom. However, let me warn that such freedom is not absolute as you must be very considerate and not infringe on the freedom of others. You will be assisted to be the very best you want to be as we make ourselves available to teach, train, mentor, guide, and guard you throughout your stay. I assure you of the dedication and readiness of both the academic and non-academic staff of the University. So feel free to contact us for guidance and counselling.
You are here to be built and equipped for the future. Although there will be challenges but I assure you of success. However, this is predicated on your ability to cooperate and collaborate with us. So the question is; Are you at KolaDaisi University, Ibadan to sail through the University or to drift along? Are you here to undergo meaningful change or to simply walk in through the main gate, hovering around then walk out through the back without leaving any impression? I leave you to answer those questions in your mind.

Spend your time wisely.
Develop and maintain the skills to study.
Study carefully the University academic guidelines and regulations
Digest the students’ information handbook so as not to run foul of University rules and regulations.
Shun all forms of vices.
Utilize your time effectively and efficiently. Time is precious and limited. Do not waste it on unproductive matters. Every minute at KolaDaisi University, Ibadan should count. Remember the time you have is the same as that of those who succeed. So if you don’t succeed you have yourself to blame. Every day try to do something that will take you closer to a better life. Each one of you should schedule and prioritize events, games meetings, community service, social activities and studies accordingly.
You must work hard. If you do not strive, you will never achieve. We have many opportunities. Take advantage of them.
Take charge of your life while at KolaDaisi University and be the best you are destined to be.
