  • Its Time! Emirates’ iconic A380 returns to Dubai with world-first Starlink Wi-Fi onboard

Its Time! Emirates’ iconic A380 returns to Dubai with world-first Starlink Wi-Fi onboard

Emirates’ flagship A380, long celebrated as one of aviation’s most iconic aircraft, is set to reach new heights as the first installation of next-generation Starlink Wi-Fi onboard has just been completed.

The Emirates A380 was one of the first commercial aircraft in the world to offer internet to its customers, with first generation systems offering a total aircraft bandwidth of less than 1 Mbps.  Emirates’ installation of three Starlink antennas on each A380 will improve the Wi-Fi available onboard a thousand-fold – offering a ‘better than at home’ connectivity experience for customers, while flying at 40,000 feet.

The first Emirates A380 aircraft equipped with Starlink made its return to Dubai this week, after its installation and certification was accomplished in Newquay, UK. With more A380s scheduled for accelerated installation throughout 2026, Emirates customers will soon enjoy a transformative leap in onboard connectivity with the ability to stream, game, browse, and work throughout their journey on personal devices. The service will be complimentary for all customers, across all cabins, with easy sign up and access. Future enhancements will include Live TV streaming over Starlink, initially on personal devices and later integrated into seatback screens.

From its celebrated Onboard Lounge to its signature First Class Shower Spa, the Emirates A380 has consistently redefined long-haul travel, beloved by customers from all corners of the globe. With the addition of Starlink’s seamless connectivity across all cabin classes, the Emirates A380 experience evolves once more, delivering a fully connected journey in the sky.

A technical first for the world’s largest passenger aircraft

As the world’s largest passenger aircraft, the A380 presents unique engineering challenges and opportunities. This industry-first Starlink configuration is designed to meet the demands of the A380’s ‘double-decker’ layout and high passenger capacity and is capable of delivering more than 2 Gbps of total aircraft bandwidth across the cabin.

Compared with the Emirates Boeing 777, the Emirates A380 features additional wireless access points and a third antenna to deliver an enhanced connectivity experience for its higher passenger capacity. Optimised inter‑deck integration supports a seamless Wi‑Fi experience, with customers able to enjoy high speeds depending on usage and device capability.

Accelerated rollout across an industry-leading fleet

Starlink installations will soon begin at Emirates Engineering facilities in Dubai to accelerate deployment across the fleet. Emirates is committed to bringing the best possible connectivity to its entire fleet at the earliest opportunity, with 25 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft already equipped with Starlink and the first A380 now joining service.

So far, more than 650,000 Emirates customers have already flown on Starlink‑equipped flights, experiencing the benefits of next‑generation onboard connectivity firsthand.

Emirates continuous investment into elevating customer experience

The introduction of Starlink on the A380 builds on Emirates’ ongoing investment into redefining the customer journey, including one of the most ambitious retrofit programmes in aviation history. To date, 93 Emirates aircraft have been fully refurbished, featuring the installation of the widely acclaimed Premium Economy cabins, an enhanced Business Class, refreshed First Class suites, upgraded interiors and finishes in Economy Class and throughout all aspects of the cabin, and expanded and upgraded inflight systems that can offer more than 6,500 channels of entertainment.

To complement the significant upgrades across all hardware, Emirates also continues to invest in its training programmes and facilities that are instrumental to customer experience. In mid-2025, Emirates opened an US$ 8 million facility – ‘Centre of Hospitality Excellence’ to train its 25,000 cabin crew in the art of hospitality onboard – bringing together both the tangible and intangible elements of an outstanding travel experience.

  • Emirates and Marriott International to Bring First-Ever Ritz-Carlton Lodge Globally to Australia’s Wolgan Valley

Emirates and Marriott International to Bring First-Ever Ritz-Carlton Lodge Globally to Australia’s Wolgan Valley

Emirates and Marriott International, Inc. have signed an agreement to open Emirates Wolgan Valley, a Ritz-Carlton Lodge – a 40-key all-inclusive luxury lodge set to be situated on a 7,000-acre conservancy in Australia’s Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage area.

Emirates Wolgan Valley, a Ritz-Carlton Lodge is expected to mark the first Ritz-Carlton Lodge in the world and a major milestone for New South Wales’s (NSW) regional tourism. An expression of the renowned luxury brand, Ritz-Carlton Lodges are conceived as purpose-built sanctuaries in nature, thoughtfully designed to reflect their surrounds while prioritising minimal environmental impact and delivering a heightened sense of luxury, comfort and craftmanship synonymous with The Ritz-Carlton. Anticipated to open mid-2026, the project offers a new benchmark for luxury travel and potential to reinvigorate the region’s tourism offering.

Since 2006, Emirates has invested AU$150 million in the Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort, developing the property with deep respect for its environmental and cultural heritage. This has included the careful restoration of historically significant landmarks — such as the original homestead dating back to 1832 — alongside extensive conservation programmes to restore indigenous flora and fauna, including the planting of more than one million native trees across the site. Emirates is now investing an additional AU$50 million in renovations, working in consultation with Marriott to transform the property into a world-class expression of The Ritz-Carlton’s legendary service and refined design, with a deep connection to place.

As a reflection of Emirates’ commitment to the location, following the closure of Wolgan Valley Road in 2023, Emirates has maintained the site with a small number of locally employed staff while the property was unavoidably nonoperational.

From the resort’s founding, Emirates has worked closely with the local Wolgan Valley community, and it remains committed to continued engagement. The opening of Emirates Wolgan Valley, a Ritz-Carlton Lodge offers the potential to re-create close to 150 jobs in the community, including increased opportunities for local suppliers ranging from fresh Australian produce to sundry items, contributing to the local economy.

Guests will access the resort by a four-wheel drive service via the Donkey Steps, which will become part of the rural off-road experience of the resort, or via helicopter.

Sir Tim Clark, President, Emirates Airline, said, “In our 30 years of operations in Australia, Emirates has consistently sought to deliver value to our customers, and to Australia. Our commitment extends well beyond the provision of air transport services. It is reflected in the strong, enduring relationships we have built with our industry partners, and in our active engagement with the broader Australian community through Emirates Wolgan Valley, and our extensive sponsorships in sports and the arts.

“We are proud of our long-term investment into the Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort which launched one of Australia’s first conservation-based luxury resorts. Our unwavering commitment to the resort leads us to today’s announcement of an exciting agreement with Marriott International to open the world’s first Ritz-Carlton Lodge.

“For us, Emirates Wolgan Valley, a Ritz-Carlton Lodge will not only be an extraordinary resort appealing to discerning travellers seeking to be close to nature, but also a powerful engine for local economic growth, helping to rejuvenate the Wolgan Valley locality.

“We are deeply grateful for the support from the Federal government, and for our partnerships with the State government, Lithgow City Council, and the Wolgan Valley community who have helped Emirates make this project possible.”

Rajeev Menon, President, Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International, said, “We’re honoured to collaborate with Emirates on this milestone development, which sees the world’s largest hotelier and the world’s largest international airline come together to reinvigorate the luxury tourism offering in New South Wales. Marking the brand’s lodge debut globally, Emirates Wolgan Valley, a Ritz-Carlton Lodge will be a major drawcard for our network of 260 million loyal Marriott Bonvoy members around the world, particularly with the upcoming plans in store for immersive experiences that connect them deeply to the local area – something our luxury travellers are increasingly prioritising.”

An immersive sanctuary that harmonises wilderness and the ease of comfort, Emirates Wolgan Valley, a Ritz-Carlton Lodge is designed to deliver the legendary service and refined luxury for which The Ritz-Carlton and Emirates are known, while creating a profound connection to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Greater Blue Mountains region. Inspired by the warmth and character of the traditional Australian homestead, the lodge is expected to offer unique, region-specific signature experiences led by expert guides.

Nestled within an expansive 7,000-acre conservation reserve, the lodge occupies less than two percent of this protected wilderness, ensuring an unparalleled sense of space and seclusion. Guests enjoy exclusive access to pristine landscapes beneath some of the world’s clearest night skies, rare native flora such as the ancient Wollemi Pine, and an extraordinary array of wildlife including kangaroos, bare-nosed wombats, and brush-tailed rock wallabies. Together, these elements create a remarkable setting that invites travellers to slow down, explore, and connect deeply with the destination.

With demand for premium, nature-based experiences at an all-time high, the lodge makes for a perfect addition to this thriving destination. Tourism Research Australia reports regional NSW welcomed 15.5 million domestic visitors in the quarter to September 2025, generating AU$5.9 billion in visitor spend and 18.5 million overnight stays. International arrivals contributed an additional 727,300 visitors and $1.2 billion in spend, underscoring the region’s growing appeal.

Emirates Wolgan Valley, a Ritz-Carlton Lodge is expected to feature 40 elegantly appointed lodges, each including private pools and bespoke amenities. Plans also include for the lodge to offer a signature sleep-out experience – a guided journey into remote wilderness where the absence of light unveils a breathtaking night sky, setting the stage for an evening meal outdoors and relaxation by a campfire. This unique overnight adventure marries the comfort The Ritz-Carlton is known for with the unspoiled beauty of Australia.

Design plans for the property’s main homestead envision a sanctuary of sophistication with a welcoming arrival lounge and sitting room, a signature restaurant, a lounge bar and a wine room, offering guests a curated collection of local and international wines alongside the exceptional produce that Australia is known for around the globe.

Fully renovated recreational spaces will be thoughtfully reimagined to honour wellbeing and the natural environment, including an outdoor pool, tennis courts, equestrian stables, a modern fitness centre, and the world-renowned The Ritz-Carlton Spa. As part of the lodge’s commitment to the destination, the lodge is also slated to feature a dedicated naturalist hub helmed by a resident expert to curate immersive, conservation-led experiences, inviting guests to connect deeply with the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Greater Blue Mountains.

The lodge will complement The Ritz-Carlton brand’s existing presence in the country, including the award-winning The Ritz-Carlton, Perth (opened 2019) and The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne (opened 2023).

Dangote Group’s Anthony Chiejina Makes Global Influence 100 Again

… Only Nigerian named among world’s most powerful communications leaders

Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications, Dangote Group, has been named to the prestigious 2025 Influence 100, reaffirming his standing as one of the most consequential communications leaders in the world and the only Nigerian on this year’s list.

The recognition marks Chiejina’s fifth consecutive appearance on the global ranking, having previously been listed in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024, a rare distinction that underscores both consistency and sustained global relevance. His continued presence places him among an elite group of in-house communicators whose judgement, influence and strategic insight shape corporate reputation at the highest level.

Published annually by PRovoke Media and now in its 13th year, the Influence 100 identifies the most impactful senior communications, corporate affairs and marketing executives worldwide. The 2025 list reflects a rapidly changing global environment in which communications has evolved from a support function into a core pillar of leadership, governance and trust building amid geopolitical uncertainty, technological disruption and heightened public scrutiny.

According to PRovoke Media, the leaders recognised this year demonstrate strategic clarity, cultural intelligence and the ability to guide organisations through complexity. Final selections are made by the publication’s senior editorial team through proprietary research and external nominations, assessed against organisational seniority and global reach, influence over agency partnerships and budgets, and contribution to thought leadership and industry direction. The list also prioritises gender balance, racial diversity and geographic representation.

According to the publication, Chiejina’s inclusion reflects his central role in shaping the reputation of Dangote Group, Africa’s largest industrial conglomerate. For over 15 years, he has overseen corporate communications across the group’s diverse portfolio, spanning cement, agriculture, energy, manufacturing and consumer goods. His stewardship has been instrumental in positioning Dangote as the continent’s most admired indigenous company and a symbol of African industrial ambition.

“As group head of corporate communications, he oversees external and internal reputation across multiple sectors spanning cement, agriculture, energy and consumer goods, and has helped steer the brand’s continued recognition as the most admired indigenous company on the continent,” it said.

Under his leadership, the group’s communications function has navigated complex regulatory environments, major industrial expansions and heightened global attention, particularly as Dangote deepens its footprint across Africa and advances sustainability and energy security initiatives.

Before joining Dangote Group, Chiejina held senior roles at Zenith Bank, Oceanic Bank, Seven Up Bottling Company, the African Economic Digest (AED) and African Concord, experiences that have given him deep insight into Nigeria’s political economy, financial markets and media landscape. That breadth of experience continues to inform Dangote Group’s engagement with stakeholders at home and abroad.

His sustained recognition on the Influence 100 highlights not only personal professional excellence, but also the growing visibility of African corporate leadership in global reputation management. As communications becomes increasingly central to how organisations lead and earn trust, Chiejina’s presence on the list reinforces Nigeria’s place in the global conversation shaping the future of the profession.

The 2025 Influence 100 includes 28 new entrants, alongside several high-profile reentries by senior communications leaders who have since taken on expanded global roles. These include Michael Stewart, who moved from PwC to Unilever; Michael Gonda, from McDonald’s to Nike; and Sandy Rodriguez, also from McDonald’s to Eli Lilly.

This year’s list reflects a powerful cross section of communications leadership from some of the world’s most influential organisations, including Walmart, Apple, Shell, Microsoft, Nvidia, Nissan, Coca Cola, Google, Lufthansa, MTN, Emirates, Ford, Marriott, Tencent and Reliance Industries among others.

In total, 20 countries are represented, highlighting the global reach and strategic importance of senior in house communications leadership. Gender representation remains strong, with 58 women and 42 men featured, sustaining a female majority for the second consecutive year.

The 2025 Influence 100 is also the most highly educated cohort to date, with all honourees holding at least a first degree and 56 per cent possessing advanced qualifications, up sharply from previous years.

  • UCL MatchDay 3: Arsenal Face Atlético Test as European Giants Return on SuperSport

UCL MatchDay 3: Arsenal Face Atlético Test as European Giants Return on SuperSport

The UEFA Champions League returns for Matchday 3 with exciting fixtures across Europe. Arsenal welcome Atlético Madrid in the standout clash of the week, while Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool face stern away tests. Every game is live on SuperSport on DStv and GOtv.

Tuesday: Arteta’s Defensive Wall Meets Simeone’s Fire
Barcelona kick off the action at 5:45 pm when they host Olympiakos FC on SS Football Plus HD (DStv Ch. 202). After a 1-2 home defeat to P SG, Hansi Flick’s men must steady their campaign quickly against an Olympiakos side eager to cause an upset.

At 8:00 pm, all eyes turn to the Emirates, where Arsenal face Atlético Madrid on SS Football Plus HD (DStv Ch. 202) in the headline tie of Matchday 3. Mikel Arteta’s side have been immaculate so far, with two wins, two clean sheets and just one goal conceded in their last five matches across all competitions. Arsenal’s defensive unit of Saliba, Gabriel, and Timber has been almost unbreakable.

Diego Simeone’s Atlético, however, are built for nights like this, especially after their close 3-2 defeat to Liverpool in their first Champions League game. They are compact, physical, and lethal on the counter. With Antoine Griezmann and Julian Alvarez in form, they will test the Premier League leaders’ composure in what promises to be a tactical chess match under the lights in London.

Elsewhere, Manchester City travel to Spain for a tricky away fixture against Villarreal at 8:00 pm on SS Premier League (GOtv Ch. 65, DStv Ch. 203). Pep Guardiola’s men were held 2-2 in Monaco and will look to reassert control in Group C.

At the same time, the defending champions PSG visit Bayer Leverkusen on SS La Liga (GOtv Ch. 62, DStv Ch. 204). PSG have scored six and conceded just once in two games, but their patchy domestic form adds intrigue to this clash.

Wednesday: Madrid’s Firepower and Chelsea’s Momentum
Chelsea host Ajax at 8:00 pm on SS Action (GOtv Ch. 66, DStv Ch. 206). After losing to Bayern Munich on opening night, Enzo Maresca’s men responded with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Benfica and have since built domestic momentum with consecutive league victories. Ajax’s youthful attack will look to expose Chelsea’s backline, but the Blues’ home crowd could prove decisive.

At the same time, Liverpool visit Eintracht Frankfurt on SS Premier League (GOtv Ch. 65, DStv Ch. 203). Arne Slot’s side are in crisis mode, four defeats in all competitions and a shock 1-0 loss to Galatasaray on Matchday 2. Frankfurt’s intense pressing and home atmosphere make this a potentially punishing night for the Reds.

In Monaco, Tottenham face a tricky test at 8:00 pm on SS La Liga (GOtv Ch. 62, DStv Ch. 204). Spurs drew 2-2 in Norway against Bodø/Glimt and fell 2-1 to Aston Villa over the weekend, raising questions about their resilience. Monaco, fresh off a draw with Manchester City, will look to capitalise.

The night’s finale takes place at the Santiago Bernabéu, where Real Madrid host Juventus at 8:00 pm on SS Football Plus HD (DStv Ch. 202). Xabi Alonso’s side have been imperious, winning both games and scoring seven goals. Juventus, meanwhile, have drawn both fixtures and are struggling in Serie A. Madrid will aim to maintain its perfect record. At the same time, Juventus must rediscover their identity to avoid the danger of early elimination.

  • Emirates now offering Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2009 Champagne in First Class

Emirates now offering Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2009 Champagne in First Class

Now onboard, Emirates is inviting First Class customers to savour the rare Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2009 Champagne, served across all routes departing Dubai. The celebrated vintage has consistently received exceptionally high ratings and will be offered in First Class over the next few months. Through an exclusive partnership with Moët Hennessy, Emirates is the only airline to access this special vintage directly from the winery.

Emirates serves Dom Pérignon Vintage to First Class customers across all global routes, but also regularly presents special vintages, offering an opportunity to sample some of the rarest and most coveted wines and champagne in the world – such as the Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2009.

Dom Pérignon Vintage and Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage are both made only in exceptional years, but they express very different interpretations of the same prestigious terroir. The classic Dom Pérignon Vintage is a white Champagne, blending Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in near-equal proportions. It focuses on purity and precision, offering a refined, mineral-driven profile with notes of citrus, stone fruit, and toasted brioche. Its structure is taut and harmonious, with a creamy mousse and long, elegant finish.

In contrast, Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage is a more audacious expression. It contains a higher proportion of Pinot Noir, including a still red wine made from the same grapes lending it a delicate colour and additional structure. While both wines share the Dom Pérignon signature of balance and depth, the Vintage offers luminous finesse, while the Rosé brings intensity, sensuality, and bold character.

Dom Pérignon Rosé 2009 Tasting Notes

Dom Pérignon Rosé 2009 is the result of a particularly generous growing season, enabling the estate to produce a wine of profound ripeness, textural richness, and controlled power. It is sourced from Grand Cru vineyards such as Aÿ and Bouzy, with a significant portion of still Pinot Noir added during blending.

After 12 years of maturation in the cellar, the result speaks to depth and aromatic layering, whilst preserving the wine’s luminous tension. The 2009 reveals an expressive bouquet of rose petals, orange oil and saffron, followed by vivid notes of raspberry, cherry, cassis, and fig, and evolving toward deeper tones of licorice and gingerbread. The palate is smooth and enveloping, with ripe, fleshy fruit and a supple structure, finishing with a persistent sapidity and a memorable tactile imprint.

First Class passengers can discover if Dom Pérignon Rosé 2009 will be served on their flight, by checking the ‘What’s on your flight’ option on www.emirates.com or on the Emirates app.

    Emirates’ Champagne programme

Ensuring its customers always ‘fly better’, Emirates purchases more champagne than any other airline in the world and has exclusive rights to serve Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015, Dom Pérignon Vintage Rosé 2009, Dom Pérignon Plénitude 2 2006, Moët & Chandon Brut Imperial, Moët & Chandon Imperial Rosé, Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Blanc 2016, Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and Veuve Clicquot Vintage Blanc 2015. Emirates also serves Australian sparkling wine, Chandon Vintage Brut 2019 onboard as a global exclusive to customers in Premium Economy.

For the last 16 years, Emirates has invested more than $1 billion into its wine program, buying exceptional wines at the earliest opportunity to let them mature, allowing them to express their full potential before serving them on board. The Emirates Wine Cellar in France currently houses 6.5 million bottles of fine wines, some of which will not be ready for tasting until 2035. Emirates offers 37 different varieties of French wines and champagnes on board its aircraft. Business Class Bordeaux red wines remain in Emirates’ cellar for an average of 8-10 years, while those reserved for First Class are only served an average of 12-15 years after purchase. Emirates also has a vintage collection which includes Château Margaux 2004, Château Cos d’Estournel 2005 and Château Montrose 2005.

To complement the wine and champagne collection, Emirates also offers an enticing Spirits menu on board, which includes a mix of niche, hand-crafted brands, as well as popular and well-loved spirits such as Hennessy cognacs, served in all classes.

A Deep Dive into Decadence: The journey of Emirates’ Caviar from source to skyA Deep Dive into Decadence: The journey of Emirates’ Caviar from source to sky

From Persia to Poland, Emirates selects and serves some of the world’s most premium Ossetra caviar for its First Class customers. With First Class flyers invited to savour unlimited amounts of the delicacy onboard, Emirates has noted an increase of more than 30% in caviar consumption, year on year. The route recording the highest levels of customers enjoying caviar are Emirates flights between Dubai and London, followed by flights to and from Dubai to Paris and Sydney, and then Moscow and Bangkok.

Celebrating the fine nature of the delicacy, Emirates has developed a signature caviar service ritual that is appreciated by First Class customers for its intentional reverence and respect for the gourmet treat. To ensure it is always an impeccable dining experience, Emirates invests significantly into storing and serving caviar correctly – even providing a dedicated chauffeur drive service to transport caviar to and from aircraft. Caviar is dispatched individually for each flight, and to maintain the cold chain – approximately 165 trips are carried out each day.

Emirates’ refined ritual of caviar in the air

Caviar is considered a delicacy for many reasons, including its rarity and cost, and the sensory experience it offers—an indulgence that has captivated connoisseurs for centuries. Harvested from the roe of sturgeon – each tiny, glistening bead holds a subtle complexity of taste: delicate yet bold, briny yet buttery, with a texture that melts on the tongue.

Onboard Emirates, First Class customers are invited to enjoy unlimited caviar, served as a luxurious, mindful ritual that highlights the rarity of the delicacy. Emirates cabin crew first don pristine white gloves and lay a fresh linen tablecloth on the customer’s table. A curated array of accoutrements are then placed on the cloth for the full caviar experience – crispy melba toast, soft blinis, egg yolk, egg white, chives, white onions, sour cream, and lemon. Emirates cabin crew invite the customer to pair caviar with a glass of Dom Pérignon champagne, which Emirates has exclusive rights to serve in the sky globally. Dom Pérignon’s complex notes of toasted brioche and almond are a sumptuous counterpoint to the salty, nutty, and briny flavours of the caviar, while the acidity and minerality of the champagne cuts through the creamy mouthfeel of caviar to form a perfect pairing. As is the tradition with fine caviar, diners are presented with a pure Mother of Pearl spoon so that the delicate taste is not tainted by oxidation from stainless steel utensils. Finally, an exclusive Emirates engraved caviar presentation bowl is placed in front of the customer, and the lid ceremoniously unveiled to reveal the glimmering aperitif.

    About the sturgeon

Emirates serves caviar from the Acipenser baerii fish, commonly known as the Siberian sturgeon. Caviar from Acipenser baerii is medium-sized, ranging in colour from dark grey to brown or black with a smooth, clean taste with a delicate texture and mild briny flavour. This species of sturgeon is native to the major river systems that flow into the Arctic Ocean, including the Ob, Lena, and Yenisei rivers in Siberia. Siberian sturgeon is selected for caviar production due to its relatively fast growth and adaptability to aquaculture environments, sometimes growing up to 2 meters in length and weighing around 100 kg. This sturgeon matures more quickly than other species, typically producing eggs between 5 to 7 years of age, making it a popular choice for caviar farming. Acipenser baerii plays a vital role in the modern caviar industry, offering a high-quality and more responsible alternative to wild-sourced roe.

    Preparation process

As the world’s largest operator of international First Class travel – offering 26,800 seats a week and the largest inventory of international First Class seats in the industry, Emirates’ requirement for caviar is significant. As part of a meticulous production process, the caviar for Emirates is rinsed with water, accentuated with salt and stored in a chiller before being delivered to Emirates’ supplier. In Dubai, the caviar is then vacuum packed into ring pull tins, pasteurized, cooled and stored in chillers, before being delivered to Emirates.

    Logistics and delivery

In Dubai, the supplier delivers caviar to Emirates Flight Catering Facility (EKFC) in Dubai three times a week. It arrives in dedicated vehicles which have a controlled temperature of below 5°C for every delivery, and when it is ready to be loaded onto aircraft, it is transported by its own dedicated Emirates chauffeur in a special vehicle, to ensure it is maintained at the perfect temperature. Across Emirates’ many destinations, official caterers also receive caviar from Emirates’ supplier to maintain exceptional standards across all routes.

Emirates’ caviar is available to all First Class customers, across all global routes as a complimentary service.

  • Final Day on SuperSport: Why the Premier League Still Reigns Supreme

Final Day on SuperSport: Why the Premier League Still Reigns Supreme

There are days in football that remind you why this sport is a religion. The Premier League’s final day is one of them. Not just because titles and European places are at stake, but because the whole thing feels like chaos orchestrated by fate. Sunday at 4pm, every kick matters. Every groan in the stands is someone else’s moment of magic. And no matter what shirt you wear, you feel it.

This is not just about goals. It’s about nerve, bottles, and heartbreak.

Arsenal’s Job Is Done But Their Hearts Aren’t Still

The Gunners have played their part. They’ve hunted down a near-invincible Liverpool side with grit and flair all season. But now, it’s no longer in their hands. As they line up against Southampton at the Emirates, there’s only one hope: that Fulham somehow do them a favour. The stadium will roar, but 90% of the noise will be fuelled by what’s happening across London.
Arsenal fans know the pain of hope. They’ve lived it. And Sunday will test that familiar muscle again.

    Chelsea: From Collapse to Comeback?

For Chelsea fans, this season felt like a documentary about dysfunction. Yet somehow, here they are, 90 minutes away from qualifying for the Champions League. If they beat Nottingham Forest and other results go their way, the turnaround will feel miraculous.

From chaos to credibility, it would be the kind of twist only football can write. Maresca may not be a hero yet, but a result on Sunday puts him in the conversation.

    Newcastle’s Grind Deserves Glory

No major stars (maybe Isak?). No scandals. Just hard work. That’s been Newcastle’s rhythm this season. Consistent. Disciplined. And underappreciated.

They face Everton at St. James’ Park knowing that anything less than a win could cost them European football altogether. A reward for their grind isn’t guaranteed, but no one would deserve it more.

    Villa’s Mountain: Old Trafford

Aston Villa might have been everyone’s second-favourite team this season. Unai Emery has built a side full of energy, tactical precision, and big-game mentality. But Old Trafford is still Old Trafford. Even with Manchester United in crisis, playing there on a final day, with everything on the line, is a psychological test.

Win, and Villa secure their Champions League dream. Lose, and all the good work feels like almost nothing. This is the pressure that forges clubs, or fractures them.

Nottingham Forest: From Survival to a Shot at Europe’s Elite

A year ago, Nottingham Forest were fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table. Now, they’re one result away from crashing into the Champions League party. They sit just one point behind the top-five, seventh on the table, but with history within reach.

If they beat Chelsea, and other results go their way, Forest could complete one of the most unexpected European climbs in Premier League memory. The squad is young, hungry, and unburdened by expectations. That’s what makes them dangerous.

Why SuperSport Is the Perfect View

No matter where your loyalties lie, you’ll need more than one screen to survive this. Fortunately, SuperSport is showing it all live. You can flip between the madness, or plant yourself in front of the drama that matters most to you.

Here’s where to catch it all:

    • SS Football – Channel 61: Manchester United vs. Aston Villa
    • SS La Liga – Channel 62: Nottingham Forest vs. Chelsea
    • SS EPL – Channel 65: Liverpool vs. Crystal Palace
    • SS Action – Channel 66: Fulham vs. Manchester City

    Kick-off is 4 PM.

The Premier League final day isn’t just a round of matches. It’s theatre. It’s suffering. It’s ecstasy. It’s that friend who texts “WE’RE GOING TO EUROPE” only to be silent 15 minutes later.
It’s the kind of day where heroes are made and heartbreak is guaranteed. And if you’re watching from home, SuperSport lets you do the impossible: change the channel when your heart can’t take it anymore.

  • Emirates and the Nigerian Ministry of Art Culture Tourism and the Creative Economy sign MoU to Stimulate Inbound Tourism

Emirates and the Nigerian Ministry of Art Culture Tourism and the Creative Economy sign MoU to Stimulate Inbound Tourism

Emirates and Nigerian Ministry of Art Culture Tourism and the Creative Economy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the 2025 Arabian Travel Market, to boost international visitors to Nigeria. The partnership underscores the airline’s commitment to the market through attracting visitors from across its global network of more than 140 passenger destinations, as Nigeria’s tourism roadmap aims to make the country a major holiday destination in Africa.

Under the MoU, Emirates will help to promote inbound tourism to Nigeria from key markets on its network, encouraging travellers to experience the country’s rich cultural heritage and diverse natural beauty, from sunlit coastlines to vibrant wetlands. Both partners will also develop programmes for trade partners, hoteliers and tour operators, to showcase the Heartbeat of Africa as well as exploring incentives, familiarisation trips and other marketing initiatives.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Adil Al Ghaith, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Centre, and Mr. Abiola Abdulkareem, Special Assistant to the Honourable Minister on Sub-National Development and tourism, in the presence of the Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa; Mr. Faiz Imam, Chief Adviser to the Honourable Minister; H.E. Zayyanu Ibrahim, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Dubai, UAE; Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer; Nabil Sultan, Emirates’ Executive Vice President, Passenger Sales and Country Management; alongside other senior officials.

Commenting on the signing, Adnan Kazim said, “Since resuming operations to Lagos in October 2024, we have focused on deepening our strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in Nigeria’s aviation, tourism and trade sectors. This partnership with the Nigerian Tourism Ministry solidifies our commitment to driving international travellers to experience the country’s fascinating history, its urban cities, the untapped, stunning natural world and, of course, the warm hospitality that characterizes Nigerian culture.”

In her remarks, Barr. Hannatu Musa Musawa, Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism & the Creative Economy, expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration: “This partnership with Emirates marks a pivotal moment for Nigeria’s tourism sector. It serves as a critical springboard for driving inbound tourism as we work towards delivering on our Destination 2030 Soft Power Initiative, endorsed by Mr. President to position Nigeria as a global leader in culture, heritage, and creativity. Strengthening strategic alliances with international stakeholders like Emirates not only opens new gateways for visitors but also empowers local communities, stimulates economic growth, and showcases Nigeria’s extraordinary cultural tapestry to the world.”

Nigeria’s tourism sector is poised for significant growth, fuelled by major investments in infrastructure, tourist facilities, and enhanced connectivity to and from the country. The partnership between Emirates and the Ministry — to be driven by its agency for tourism promotion, the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA) — supports this exciting new chapter. It is further bolstered by the recently signed interline agreement between Emirates and Air Peace, which expands Emirates’ reach to 13 additional cities across Nigeria. Travellers flying from Dubai to Lagos can now seamlessly connect to destinations including Nigeria’s capital and cultural heart, Abuja; the historic city of Benin; the natural wonders around Calabar; and many other vibrant cities — all on a single, frictionless ticket.

Emirates is one of only two airlines operating First Class into Lagos, offering the best experience in the sky defined by the airline’s renowned luxurious touches, comfort and privacy. Inbound tourists will get a taste of Nigerian culture before they even land, dining on regionally inspired multi-course menus and tuning into Nigerian movies on Emirates’ award-winning inflight entertainment system, ice.
