OOU set to begin 30th Convocation Ceremony

…55 graduands bag 1st class degree

Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye Ogun State Nigeria has today begun her convocation ceremony for 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academics session. The Ceremony which commenced today, 26th of January, 2022 with the Press conference will run till 31st of January, 2022.

In a release signed by the Deputy Registrar, Corporate Affairs Division of the University, Mr. Niyi Oduwole, some of the programmes schedule for the convocation ceremony includes; Convocation Play titled:
ESU AND THE VAGABOND MINSTRELS

ii. Film Show
Title: Angels on Drugs
Venue: OGD Hall scheduled for Thursday 27th of January 2022.

Jumat Service at the University Mosque, Main Campus, Ago Iwoye, on Friday, 28th of January, while Convocation Service at the Chapel of Abundant Life, Main Campus, on Sunday, 30th January, 2022.

Meanwhile, on Monday, 31st January, 2022, which happens to be the grand finale of the convocation ceremony, the
Convocation Lecture titled; Your Future Is In Your Hands,
will be delivered by Prof. Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede, OFR, FNAL, Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB), Abuja

As announced by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ganiyu Olatunji Olatunde, out of 6,256 graduate produced for both sessions, only 55 made first class, with Awolumate Adebisi Fatima of the Department of Cooperative Management and Rural Development recorded 4.86 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) as overall best graduating student, for 2019/2020 academic session and Peter Iluka, in Faculty of Pharmacy, emerged the overall best with 4.92 CGPA, for 2020/2021 academic session.
