[1] Randy Waldrum and the NFF appear to agree that he should stay on
[2] Most of the team are still young and should be around come the next World Cup in 2027
[3] It is only the likes of Oparanozie, Oshoala, Kanu, Onome, Onumonu, Ohale and Ayinde that will need to give way over the next four years
[4] In 2022, Nigeria’s U20 girls, the Super Falconets got to the quarter-finals of the World Cup. Tosin Demehim and Deborah Abiodun came from that squad
[5] By next year, a few more members of that U20 team will come through
[6] Earlier this year, the Nigerian U17 women’s team, the Super Flamingoes, came fourth in the World Cup. Some of these girls will come through too
[7] The bedrock of the team are all under 23 – Nnadozie, Alozie, Demehin, Abiodun, Ucheibe and Ajibade
[8] With the Olympics taking place next year, youngsters from the U17 and U20 teams need to be gradually drafted in
[9] If Waldrun can get the girls to keep their defensive discipline and then get some firepower upfront, we will be fine
[10] Is it just me but it appears that Nigerian female footballers are better at following instructions than men. If this were the Super Eagles, they would never have maintained that defensive discipline throughout the tournament.
