Dangote Petroleum Refinery Reduces Petrol Price, Reinforces Commitment to Sustainable Energy and National Development

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, by ₦30 – from ₦850 to ₦820 per litre. The new price takes effect from Tuesday, 12 August 2025.

This strategic price adjustment underscores the refinery’s commitment to supporting national economic growth and ensuring affordable energy access for Nigerians.

“As part of our unwavering commitment to national development, Dangote Petroleum Refinery assures the public of a consistent and uninterrupted supply of petroleum products,” said Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Dangote Industries Limited.

In addition to the price reduction, the refinery has unveiled plans to commence the phased deployment of 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks for petroleum product distribution across the country. This initiative, which will begin on 15 August 2025, reflects the company’s dedication to operational excellence, sustainability, and the promotion of cleaner energy solutions.
