During the visit, the students explored key production processes and gained practical insights into how engineering innovation, smart systems, and digital technologies are driving sustainable industrial development. Speaking during the visit, Fouad El Chami, Plant Manager, Production at JMG, emphasized the importance of practical industry exposure in shaping the next generation of engineers.
According to him, “Engineering is best understood not only in classrooms but through real industrial experience. Opening our facility to students allows them to see innovation, technology, and problem-solving in action. It helps bridge the gap between theory and practice while inspiring young engineers to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s industrial and technological advancement.”
He added that initiatives like the factory tour are essential for encouraging students to embrace innovation, digitalization, and sustainable engineering practices that will define the future of the industry.
