Codix Group, through its charity arm, Codix Charity Foundation, has commissioned a range of new and upgraded educational facilities at Isanbi Comprehensive Secondary School, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, reinforcing its commitment to educational excellence, student welfare and youth development.
The intervention includes two new classroom blocks, the donation of 10 desktop computers, new tables and chairs, eight new toilet facilities for students and teachers, and the refurbishment of the office of the Junior School Principal. The project is designed to provide a more conducive learning environment for students while equipping teachers with improved facilities to support effective teaching and learning.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, described the intervention as an example of the positive impact that collaboration between government and the private sector can have on education.

“Education remains the bedrock of sustainable development, and true progress in our schools relies heavily on active synergy between the government and visionary private sector partners,” Prof. Arigbabu said.
According to him, the intervention also demonstrates the enduring bond between old students and their alma mater, noting that alumni have an important role to play in the growth and development of their former schools.
“This landmark gesture beautifully exemplifies how deeply old students cherish their alma mater and remain an integral, devoted part of its growth and success for generations. We deeply commend Mr. Sammy Ogunjimi and his team for setting a remarkable benchmark in corporate social responsibility,” he added.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Sammy Ogunjimi, Executive Chairman and Group Chief Executive of Codix Holdings Limited, said the intervention was driven by his personal connection to the school and his conviction that education remains one of the most important investments society can make in the future.
Ogunjimi recalled his years at Isanbi Comprehensive Secondary School and how his memories and experiences at the institution inspired him to give back to his alma mater.

He stressed that creating the right environment for learning is essential to enabling young people to develop their potential, noting that the Foundation’s intervention forms part of its broader commitment to supporting communities through initiatives that promote human capital development and improve the welfare of young people.
“Better learning environments can inspire students, strengthen their confidence and create opportunities for them to participate more effectively in the future economy,” he said.
