The Board of Directors of the CENTRE FOR INTEGRATED HEALTH PROGRAMME Nigeria are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. ‘Lolu Akinwunmi as the Chairman of the Board. He takes over from Alhaji Muhammed Imam Yahaya (OFR), who recently retired from the board after many meritorious years as a Board member and the Chairman of the Board. The Board appreciates the significant progress made by the organization under Alhaji Yahaya’s able leadership.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Akinwunmi has been on the board of CIHP for many years.
Akinwunmi is the founding Group CEO of the Prima Garnet Africa Group, a leading Marketing Communication and Advertising Group, and sits on the Boards of other organisations. He is a Fellow of the Advertising Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON, formerly APCON), and also a Fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN). For many years he sat on the Board of Ogilvy Africa Johannesburg, part of a major global Advertising Network Group.
In 2008, Mr. Akinwunmi was appointed the pioneer Secretary of the Rebranding Nigeria Ad Hoc Committee, and the same year the pioneer CEO of the Nigerian Rebranding Project Support Group by President Goodluck Jonathan, to manage the Nigerian Rebranding Project (Good People Great Nation). In 2010, President Goodluck Jonathan also appointed Akinwunmi the 5th Chairman of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture.
The Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP) evolved from the MCAP program of the Columbia University, Mailman School of Public Health, New York and is a leading not-for-profit, non-governmental organization, promoting better health outcomes for all Nigerians through the creation of sustainable systems and partnerships.
