The Benin–Asaba Expressway Concession Company (BAECC) has reassured commuters that there is steady progress on the reconstruction work on the Benin-Asaba highway.
In a statement signed by Dr Jerry Adeyeri, the company affirmed that it is aware of public concerns about the ongoing work.
The statement further explains- We understand the inconvenience caused to motorists, traders, and residents and sincerely empathize with all road users. Seasonal rains have affected some aspects of work, but our teams are working tirelessly to maintain progress while prioritizing safety.
The 125km project is being delivered in phases, with steady progress already recorded. We appeal for patience and cooperation from road users as well as those who have businesses around these corridors as we work towards delivering a safer, faster, and more reliable expressway that will connect communities, ease transport, and drive economic growth for Edo and Delta States.
