The All-Share Index continued its upward trend today, climbing 25 basis points to reach 121.295.33 points. This positive movement builds on last Friday’s close of 1 20,989.66 points, which saw a modest 1 basis point increase.

Bellwether stocks like INTBREW, FIRSTHOLDCO, GTCO, NB, HONYFLOUR, I-IBA, and ZENITHBANK led the positive sentiment, attracting significant investor interest. This rise was further bolstered by gains from 46 other equities.

The Year-to-Date (YTD) return settled at 17.85%. Market capitalization rose by 0.25% to N76.53 trillion, reflecting a NI 92.85 billion increase in investor wealth.

Sector performance was mostly positive, with four out of five sectors advancing and one remaining flat. The Banking and

Consumer Goods sectors led the charge, driven by strong investor interest in heavyweights like FIRSTHOLDCO, GTCO, ZENITHBANK, INTBREW. NB, HONYFLOUR, and DANGSUGAR. The Insurance and Oil/Gas sectors also saw increases, boosted by key stocks such as SUNUASSUR, SOVRENINS, and LASACO, while the Industrial sector closed unchanged.

MARKET ACTIVITY: Market activity was mixed today: while traded volume fell 10.80% to 824.10 million units, value appreciated by 31.23% to NI 4.44 billion.

MARKET BREADTH: The market breadth, which measures investor sentiment through the Gainers/Losers ratio increased to 2.30x from 1.44x as 53 stocks appreciated, 23 stocks depreciated and 49 stocks closed flat.

FIXED INCOME MARKET: The Treasury Bills and Bonds market showed bullish sentiment today, with yields at 19.94% and 1 7.12% respectively.

CURRENCY MARKET: The Naira appreciated by 0.02% to N1,528.33
