Investor wealth increased by ₦792.59 million as market
capitalization rose by 0.94% to ₦85.05 trillion. This brings the Year-toDate (YTD) return to 30.63%.
The market ended firmly in the green, as all five sectors under our coverage recorded gains. The Consumer Goods (+1.63%),
Insurance (+1.32%), Industrial (+0.60%), Banking (+0.59%), and Oil & Gas (+0.50%) sectors all advanced, driven by price appreciations in tickers such as INTBREW, UNILEVER, SOVERNINS, CONHALLPLC, GUINEAINS, WAPCO, FBNH, FIDELITYBK, ZENITHBANK, UBA, and OANDO.
MARKET ACTIVITY: Trading activity was mixed today, with total volume dropping by 12.79% to 713.72 million units, even as the value of transactions rose by 6.92% to ₦22.67 billion.
MARKET BREADTH: The market breadth, which measures investor sentiment through the Gainers/Losers ratio increased to 2.18x from 1.38x as 48 stocks appreciated, 22 stocks depreciated and 58 stocks closed flat.
