In a strategic move to expand its footprint across Africa, Dangote Cement PLC has concluded plans to invest USD 400 million to upscale a second production line at its Mugher cement plant in Ethiopia.
According to a release signed by Edward Imoedemhe, Acting Company Secretary, to the Nigeria Exchange Group, this expansion aims to double the facility’s annual production capacity to 5 million tons and is expected to become operational within 30 months.
Additionally, the company plans to establish a new greenfield cement grinding unit with an annual capacity of 3 million tons.
