The executive leadership transition reflects FMN’s ongoing focus on institutional strengthening, operational resilience, and market expansion across West Africa’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and agro-industrial sectors.

Shah brings more than two decades of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector to the new role.

At FMN Group, Shah will execute operational strategies to strengthen core grain milling, expand value-added food processing, and optimize backward integration initiatives across the agricultural supply chain.

The appointment comes as FMN continues to develop its position across Nigeria’s food and agricultural value chains.

Shah’s appointment therefore adds a new senior leadership role to the group’s management structure and could signal a stronger focus on commercial strategy and business growth.

Shah described FMN as one of the world’s largest flour milling companies, reflecting the importance of its milling activities within the wider business portfolio.

His background in consumer goods leadership could be relevant to FMN’s strategy across branded food products, manufacturing, distribution and market development.

Shah previously held senior responsibilities at Reckitt, including leading its Sub-Saharan African business, giving him experience managing consumer-facing operations across diverse African markets.

Shah said he looked forward to working with FMN’s teams and contributing to the Group’s continued growth.

His appointment adds new executive leadership to a company whose operations span flour milling and broader food and agro-industrial value chains in Nigeria.

FMN’s appointment of Shah comes as Nigeria’s food industry faces pressure to expand local production, improve supply-chain efficiency and respond to rising demand for essential food products.

FMN was founded in 1960 and headquartered in Lagos, with operations spanning food, sugar, agro-allied activities and feed milling.

FMN produces flour, semolina, pasta, noodles, snacks, vegetable oils and spreads, supported by packaging, port operations, transport and logistics businesses. Its agro-allied division covers fertilizer, seed and other agri-inputs, along with 50,000 hectares of agricultural holdings.
