…600 High-Performing Drivers to Receive Insurance Cover as inDrive Strengthens Commitment to Safety and Welfare
inDrive, the global mobility and urban services platform, has launched a major expansion of its driver support initiatives with the introduction of an enhanced Platinum Tier loyalty program. As part of this initiative, 600 top-performing drivers will receive insurance coverage—underscoring inDrive’s continued commitment to championing driver welfare, recognising excellence, and promoting safety and security on the roads.
The new Platinum Tier loyalty program is designed to reward the top drivers who consistently meet performance benchmarks. In Lagos, for example, the weekly target to qualify is 25 completed rides. Drivers who achieve Platinum status receive a range of premium benefits, including:
- Lower service payments – Keep most of what you make. Our service payments stay as low as possible for everyone, no matter the tier
- First access to ride requests – View passenger requests before other drivers and get more ride opportunities, Boost your visibility to passengers and improve your chances of being selected for rides
- High-priority customer support -Get faster help with any issues to minimise downtime and stay productive
- Exclusive partner bonuses – Unlock exclusive discounts from our partners (Car Insurance and Vehicle maintenance) to cut your costs and boost your income
Additionally, in a significant move to support driver wellbeing, 600 drivers have been provided with health insurance coverage as part of the loyalty program initiative in partnership with My cover Genius. This step underscores inDrive’s people-first mission and long-term commitment to protecting and empowering the drivers at the heart of its operations.
“Our drivers are more than just partners, they’re the backbone of our service,” said Timothy Oladimeji, Country representative in Nigeria. “By introducing the Platinum Tier and providing insurance to hundreds of drivers, we are taking real steps toward recognising performance while also improving security and peace of mind.”
The loyalty program currently operates with two goal structures: weekly goals with weekly tier updates, as implemented in locations such as Lagos, and monthly goals with monthly tier updates, which are currently in the testing phase.
The successful expansion of the loyalty program relies heavily on strategic local partnerships, which provide added value. inDrive has reiterated that no new city rollout will occur without these partnerships in place, ensuring that the loyalty program remains both impactful and sustainable.
This initiative reflects inDrive’s ongoing effort to challenge industry norms and foster a more equitable ride-hailing ecosystem—one that is fair, rewards excellence, and supports economic mobility for drivers.
