Genevieve Nnaji’s directorial debut “Lionheart” has been chosen to represent Nigeria at the 2020 Oscars.
It was selected by the Nigerian Oscars Selection Committee (NOSC) to be submitted in the ‘Best International Feature Film’ category formerly known as the “Best Foreign Language Film”.
This marks Nigeria’s first ever entry to the Oscars since the NOSC was formed back in 2014.
The flick which was released in December 2018 is about a woman looking to prove her worth, she steps up to the challenge to work with her crude and eccentric brother when her father, Chief Ernest Obiagu is forced to take a step back due to health issues.
