To commemorate this year’s Children’s Day, a vibrant celebration of the rights, dreams, and voices of Nigeria’s youngest citizens, Quramo proudly hosted a special edition of its youth-focused series, Voices of Tomorrow, at the QBook Café.
The event featured an engaging essay competition centered on the theme ‘A Brave New World’, which also serves as the unifying theme for QFest 2025: Quramo Festival of Words.
Students were encouraged to articulate their vision for the world they aspire to grow into, and their responses were truly inspiring. The essays, lauded for their clarity, imaginative scope, and compelling conviction, were not only submitted in writing but also powerfully performed live before an enthusiastic audience.
The showcase concluded with a recognition of outstanding talent. Princess Egwuatu and Bammeke Maria from Holy Child College, Ikoyi, secured the top two positions. Vernice Itamah and Hadassah Ezeh from Reeds School earned third and fourth place respectively, all impressing the audience with their insightful perspectives and expressive delivery.
By providing a platform for these young voices through both the written word and public performance, Quramo underscored its fundamental belief that children are not merely the leaders of tomorrow, but already powerful storytellers today.
Their words serve as a poignant reminder that the future is not something we exclusively build for them; it is something we must actively build with them.
If ‘A Brave New World’ represents the future these bright young minds envision, Quramo eagerly anticipates witnessing the remarkable contributions they will undoubtedly make in shaping it.
