The first lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs) Ibijoke, Sanwo-Olu, in the company of Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) has launched an endowment fund for paediatric patients who may require medical attention beyond the free health insurance scheme of the state.
The fund, which is the brain child of COWLSO was launched with initial sum of N500, 000 to be managed by a board of trustees in conjunction with LASUTH management.
The fund raising is part of the activities marking the 2019 COWLSO conference which is scheduled to hold later this month.
The first lady has called on High Networth Individuals, pharmaceutical companies and cooperate organizations/bodies to support the endowment with donations to reduce the child mortality rate in the state.
