With more than 15 years of experience across the communications industry, she has built a career around one central conviction: the narratives organisations and leaders create do more than shape perception; they influence trust, behaviour, reputation and ultimately business and societal outcomes.

She is the Group Chief Executive of McEnies Global Communications, an integrated marketing communications company through which she has led strategic communications, brand engagement and business solutions for organisations across multiple sectors. Her professional experience includes work on multinational and institutional brands, including Microsoft, Intel, Google Nigeria, IBM, Guinness Nigeria, Diageo, Unilever, Dell, SAP, General Electric, Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, GSK, the European Union and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, among others.

Her career has progressively moved beyond conventional marketing communications into the increasingly critical intersection of reputation, technology, leadership communication and strategic narrative management. This evolution reflects her belief that today’s organisations cannot build enduring brands merely by communicating more; they must communicate with clarity, credibility and an understanding of the environment in which their messages will be received.

Increasingly, that evolution has also taken her into sustainability, climate and risk communication, an area in which the ability to translate complex information into messages that institutions, businesses and communities can understand and act upon is becoming critical.

Through engagements connected with the UK Met Office and FCDO in Nigeria, Dr. Olaosebikan has brought strategic communications thinking to weather and climate information, flood-risk communication, stakeholder engagement, public health planning, institutional preparedness, and community resilience. Her work has involved a multi-stakeholder environment encompassing relevant government agencies and vulnerable communities, with an emphasis on making technical climate and weather information more accessible and actionable.

To deepen the business and strategic dimension of this growing practice, she is currently undertaking the Business Sustainability Management programme at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL).

For Dr. Olaosebikan, this is not a departure from communications. It is an extension of it: how do we communicate complex risks, build understanding and trust, and help people and institutions make better decisions in a rapidly changing world?

That same curiosity about the future has informed her engagement with artificial intelligence and emerging technology. A strong advocate for continuous professional development, her recent executive education includes studies at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, intelligent systems, AI ethics and the economics of AI. She is also a Certified Management Consultant (CMC®) and holds professional affiliations and credentials across leading communications, marketing and management institutions.

Her professional memberships and designations include the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, UK (MCIPR); Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR); Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK (CIM); Certified Marketing Communications Institute of Nigeria (CMCIN); Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria professional designation (arpa); Fellowship of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC); and Certified Management Consultant (CMC®).

Beyond consulting and corporate leadership, Dr. Olaosebikan is increasingly contributing to public discourse on leadership, communication, reputation, economic confidence and national development.

She is the creator of The Narrative Matters, a thought leadership series through which she examines the deeper narratives behind contemporary leadership, economic and societal conversations, and what those narratives mean for leaders, institutions, businesses and citizens.

Her recent essay, “Beyond Kulikuli and Akara: Why Leadership Narratives Matter in Nigeria’s ‘Olodo Uprising’ Moment,” examined the relationship between leadership messaging, youth aspirations and public perception. The article reflects a growing body of commentary in which she interrogates not simply what leaders and institutions communicate, but the gap that can emerge between intended messages, public interpretation and lived experience.

Her commentary has appeared in Nigerian and African business and news publications, including: The Punch, The Guardian, Vanguard, The Nation. Thisday, Nigerian Tribune, BusinessDay, Nigerian Pilot, The Sun, Business Africa Online.

For Dr. Olaosebikan, communication is therefore not simply about visibility.

It is about meaning.

It is about understanding how a message travels from what an organisation intends to say, to what its audience actually hears, and ultimately to what people believe, trust and act upon.

That philosophy also underpins her approach to entrepreneurship. Through her integrated businesses, she has championed brand storytelling, creative communications and technology-enabled customer experiences, with an emphasis on building businesses that combine commercial relevance with innovation. Her flagship communications business, McEnies Global Communications, was named Best PR Agency of the Year 2023 by Brand Impact Brand and Marketing Company.

Her professional journey has earned recognition for leadership and performance, including a special commendation for outstanding execution from advertising industry leader Biodun Shobanjo and an honorary doctorate in Leadership and Strategic Business Management awarded in 2023.

Today, Dr. Omolaraeni Olaosebikan represents an evolving generation of communications leaders—professionals whose work must increasingly move between brand and reputation, business and sustainability, technology and society, corporate communication and public discourse.

As organisations confront artificial intelligence, climate risk, fragmented audiences, misinformation and declining institutional trust, she believes the communications profession itself must evolve, from managing messages to helping leaders and institutions navigate meaning, credibility and trust.
