Fearless Energy Drink, the bold and refreshing brand from Rite Foods Limited, is back as the Exclusive Energy Drink Sponsor of Felabration 2025, the globally acclaimed annual festival that celebrates the life, music, and legacy of the legendary Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

This year’s celebration, themed “Shakara,” holds in Lagos from Monday, October 13 to Saturday, October 19, 2025, at the iconic New Afrika Shrine, Ikeja. Daily from 6 p.m., fans, artists, and lovers of Afrobeat will come together to honor the spirit of Fela in the most energetic and expressive way possible.

Felabration has grown to become one of Africa’s most vibrant and anticipated cultural events, a beautiful blend of music, art, fashion, and creativity that attracts audiences from all over the world. It’s more than a festival; it’s a celebration of Fela’s fearless voice and the power of artistic freedom.

For Fearless Energy Drink, being part of Felabration once again is more than a sponsorship; it’s a natural partnership. Both share the same DNA of boldness, originality, and self-expression. This partnership celebrates originality, creativity, and the unstoppable energy that drives our nation.”

Also reflecting on the partnership, Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods Limited, recalled Fearless’ previous involvement in 2021, when the brand honored the Afrobeat icon with a posthumous award of his iconic saxophone presented to the Felabration team at the festival’s grand finale.

“Fearless represents everything Fela stood for: courage, creativity, and freedom of expression. We are proud to continue supporting an event that keeps his legacy alive and inspires new generations to live boldly and stay original,” he said.

This year’s Felabration 2025 promises a full week of excitement, color, and cultural brilliance. Young people also had their voices heard during the Secondary School Debate on October 8 and the Fela Debates Symposium on October 13 at NECA Hall, Ikeja, a thought-provoking dialogue exploring Fela’s impact on music, activism, and African identity.

The main events, running from October 13 to 19, will feature electrifying concerts at both the New Afrika Shrine and Freedom Park, headlined by an incredible lineup of performers including Femi Kuti, Made Kuti, Terry Apala, Kashcoming, Berri Tega, and other celebrated artists from Nigeria and beyond. Art lovers will also enjoy exhibitions inspired by Fela’s music and message, providing a visual experience of his enduring influence.

Felabration, which holds yearly from October 11 to 17 at the New Afrika Shrine in Ikeja, Lagos, was conceived in 1998 by Yeni Anikulapo-Kuti in celebration of the life and times of her late father, Fela, who was also a human rights activist, and

Themed ” “Viva Nigeria Via Africa,” this year’s event will be packed with exciting activities to make it memorable.

Commenting on the sponsorship, the Managing Director of Rite Foods Limited, Mr. Seleem Adegunwa, said the late Afrobeat king embodied justice, courage, and hope for the people during his lifetime and deserves to be celebrated.

Adegunwa posits that the Truly World-Class and innovative company with the I CAN I AM mentality will continue to identify with well-meaning initiatives like Felabration, which continually renews what the late megastar stood and fought for during his lifetime.

Adegunwa stated that the leading food and beverage company would use the entertainment platform to provide maximum refreshment to music lovers, with its 12 Bigi variants of carbonated soft drinks, Bigi Table water, Fearless energy drink brands, and Rite sausages, that has set the pace in the Nigerian market.

Its contribution to the memorable event will include a posthumous award for the late Afrobeat king, who was at the forefront against injustice, inequality, and other depravities.

The beautifully designed award would be part of the company’s posthumous honor for the megastar, who left an indelible mark in the entertainment industry and earned global recognition for his unrivaled stage performance in his genre of music.

The Fearless brand resonates with Fela’s positive energy of fearlessness, positivity, and can-do spirit. Fearless is the leader in the energy drinks market, just like Fela was the global musical icon during his lifetime.
