37 Egyptians evacuated from Sam Mbakwe Int’l. Cargo Airport to Cairo


37 Egyptians have been evacuated from the country through the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri.


The evacuation is due to the deadly Coronavirus pandemic globally.

An Airpeace aircraft for the evacuation mission arrived the airport at 11.27am and departed 11.56am to Abuja to pick other Egyptians to Cairo, Egypt capital.

This is the 7 evacuation embarked on by different countries thus far since the shut down of passenger flight Operations into the country.

This is the 2nd evacuation by Airpeace of foreign nationals, the first was the Isrealis from Lagos via Abuja to Tell Aviv.

So far, Air France and Lufthansa have evacuated over 800 French and German nationals through Murtala Mohammed international airport Lagos.
