Oyo Govt to rename LAUTECH

Oyo State government is set to rename the state owned university, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, to Ladoke Akintola University.

This was approved, during the state executive meeting held today, in Ibadan, where a bill to amend the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso Law to reflect the proposed change of the name of the institution to Ladoke Akintola University (LAU), was approved by the executive members.

As made available, the bill will also amend its objectives so that the university can offer courses in arts and humanities as approved by the National Universities Commission.
