The Board of Directors of BUA CEMENT Plc has renewed the contract of employment of the Managing Director and the Chief Executive Officer, Engr Yusuf Halliru Binji for a further term of five (5) years, effective December 23, 2024.
He is a Chemical Engineer with degrees from Ahmadu Bello University and the University College, London. Yusuf is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, the Solar Energy Society of Nigeria, the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers and the Nigerian Society of Mining Engineers.
He has over 30 years of working experience in various organizations including Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN), BUA International Limited, and Obu Cement Company Limited, among others. He was Managing Director of Obu Cement Company in 2017 before moving to Cement Company of Northern Nigeria as the Managing Director in 2018. In December 2019, he was announced as the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of BUA Cement, the new entity from the merger between Obu Cement and CCNN.
He has attended various executive management courses in Nigeria and internationally including Harvard Business School in USA, Institute for Management Development Switzerland and INSEAD France.
