As a result, the benchmark NGXASI index gained 8 basis points (bps) to close at 68,334.68 points, as against its previous day closing value of 68,279.14 points.
The favorable performance of the day was primarily influenced by investors’ buy interest in prominent stocks. Notable OANDO (+9.84%), BUA Foods (+2.78%), UBA (+0.66%), Fidelity Bank (+0.60%), DANGSUGAR (+5.18%) MTN Nigeria (+0.04%), along with 24 other stocks.
The year-to-date return grew to 33.33%, accompanied by a 0.08% up trend in the overall market capitalization, which ultimately reached N37.40 trillion. This outcome led to an increase in investors’ wealth by N30.40 billion.
Market activity witnessed a decline as both trading volume and value exhibited decrease, shed 34.04% and 21.70% to 557.85 million units and N10.21 billion, respectively.
