Ola Mustapha of Kiskirine Events, the visionary behind this festival, shared her enthusiasm: “The African Showcase Market Festival aims to bring the African cultural experience closer to the public and celebrate diversity through commerce. We are delighted that the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Council and other borough are supporting this would-be-annual event, which was inaugurated in Brent in 2003. We look forward to sharing the fun with more of the public.”
Looking towards the future, Ola Mustapha expressed her hopes of handing over the program to the next generation, ensuring the festival continues to grow and thrive, and fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of African culture within the community.
