The Nigerian Equities market closed flat today as the NGX All-Share Index recorded minimal decline, closing at 98,223.97 points, up from the previous session’s 98,228.50 points.
The market’s performance was primarily driven by gains in MTNN (+2.23%), NESTLE (+3.02%), OKOMUOIL (+9.98%) and 11 others, offsetting selling pressures in stocks such as ACCESSCORP (-1.98%), GTCO (-1.43%), ZENITHBANK (-2.59%), TRANSCORP (-2.70%) and 15 others.
As a result, the year-to-date return settled at 31.36%. Also, the overall market capitalization experienced a slight decline, as investors lost N2.56 billion.
Market activity for the day was mixed as volume traded decreased by 25.04% to 319.08 million units while value traded increased by 9.94% to N9.18 billion, respectively.
We expect the equities market to trade mixed in the coming sessions.

The Nigerian Naira depreciated by 0.32% against US Dollar in the NAFEM Window, closing at a rate of ₦1,421.06.
