The Federal Government is set to shut the Third Mainland Bridge for six months starting from Friday, July 24. This was announced by Olukayo Popoola, the Federal controller of works in Lagos
This is necessary because of reports of some worn out expansion joint on the bridge.
Motorists are advised to take the alternative route and relevant agencies will ensure minimum traffic during this period
The last repair maintain done on the bridge was done in August 2018 for three days.
