The Department of Linguistics and African Languages, University of Ibadan and the Naija Studies Association, in partnership with the Linguistics Association of Nigeria (LAN), warmly invite you to attend the maiden edition of the Nigeria Languages Summit 2025 Webinar.
This Special Webinar, to be chaired by Emeritus Professor Ayo Bamgbose, will take place at 2pm on Friday, November 28, as one of the highpoints on Day 2 of the Naijá na Selense Conference 2025, which commences on November 26 with the concurrent Pre-conference Workshop Sessions for postgraduate and undergraduate students.
The Summit is intended as a gathering of Professional Associations, Academies, Departments, Communities, NGOs, Scholars, Students and policy makers in language and culture development to build consensus, review the state of Nigerian language development, share best practices and chart a pathway to the sustainable implementation of the encompassing National Language Policy 2022, which was suspended recently.
