The African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) has officially announced the nominees for its 2026 edition, marking the highly anticipated return of one of Africa’s premier music platforms. Scheduled to take place on September 12, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, AFRIMMA will once again bring together artists, industry leaders, media, and music enthusiasts from across Africa and the diaspora to celebrate excellence in African music and culture.

This year’s edition reflects the depth, diversity and growing global influence of African music, honouring outstanding artists, producers, DJs, songwriters and other creative professionals from across the continent. Nigeria once again commands a strong influence on the African music landscape, with Davido leading this year’s lineup with five nominations. Other notable Nigerian talents nominated include Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tems, Rema, Ayra Starr, Asake, BNXN, Tiwa Savage, Teni, and Ruger, all earning recognition across various award categories.

Also featured on this year’s list are some of Africa’s biggest names beyond Nigeria, including Tyla, Diamond Platnumz, Juma Jux, Black Sherif, Uncle Waffles, Fally Ipupa, Bien, Nikita Kering, and Eddy Kenzo, reinforcing AFRIMMA’s commitment to celebrating musical excellence from across the continent.
