Nigerian Academy of Letters (NAL) elect New Fellows

The Nigerian Academy of Letters (NAL) has elected Eight members into the College of Fellows for year 2020.

According to a short release by the Secretary of the Academy, Professor Ayobami Kehinde, which reads, “It is with great delight to announce that eight of the members of the Nigerian Academy of Letters have been admitted into the College of Fellows of the Academy (YEAR 2020). This followed their elections on Thursday, 21 January, 2021, in recognition of the contributions they have made to knowledge in their various fields of specialization.

The new Regular Fellows are Prof. AKINYEYE, Abayomi, History; Prof. HARUNA, Andrew, Linguistics; Prof. UDOH, Imelda Icheji Lawrence, Linguistic and Prof. ADEKOYA, Olusegun Adesina, Literature.

Others are Prof. NWACHUKWU-AGBADA, Justice Obi Joseph,Literature; Prof. EVWIERHOMA, Mabel Itohanosa Erioyunvwen, Theatre Arts and Prof. JOWITT, David Roger, English Language while the Overseas Fellow is Prof. ILESANMI, Simeon Olusegun of Religious Studies.
