As the Chief Executive Officer of Pillars & Frames Limited, an infrastructure, facility management, advisory, and consulting firm. Adebayo leads initiatives that help organisations maximise the value of their physical assets through innovative, efficient, and sustainable facility management solutions. His work reflects a firm belief that infrastructure is not merely about buildings—it is about creating environments that support productivity, economic growth, and improved quality of life.

Adebayo’s professional journey spans banking, finance, public service, and facility management. He earned an Upper Credit in Banking and Finance from Kwara State Polytechnic before obtaining a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Corporate Governance from Leeds Metropolitan University (now Leeds Beckett University), United Kingdom.

His corporate career began in the banking industry, where he steadily rose through key administrative and operational leadership positions. Between 2000 and 2017, he served in several strategic capacities, including Personal Assistant to the Managing Director/CEO, Head of Administration at Kakawa Discount House Limited, and later Head of General Services at FBNQuest Merchant Bank Limited, a subsidiary of FBN Holdings Plc.

These roles equipped him with deep expertise in corporate administration, governance, asset management, procurement, workplace operations, and organisational efficiency.

In 2017, Adebayo was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Facility Management to the Governor of Ogun State,  Senator Ibikunle Amos, FCA where he applied global facility management principles to public infrastructure.

One of his landmark contributions was leading the retrofitting and renovation of the June 12 Cultural Centre, ensuring its readiness to host the Ogun State Economic Conference. Beyond physical upgrades, he developed strategic frameworks for the integrated management of state-owned facilities, including modern markets and shopping malls established by the state government.

Recognising the importance of institutional sustainability, he also collaborated with the Ogun State Judiciary to develop an operational template for the efficient, cost-effective management of court facilities, laying the foundation for improved public asset management.

Following his successful public sector assignment, Adebayo served as Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Mrs Ronke Sokefun, between 2019 and 2022.

Beyond his executive responsibilities, Adebayo has become one of the strongest advocates for the professionalisation of facility management in Nigeria.

He served as the 13th President of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Nigeria Chapter from December 2020 to December 2022, where he championed industry development and collaboration, professional certification, knowledge sharing, and capacity building for students in technical and tertiary institutions.

Since 2023 till date, he continues to shape the next generation of facility management professionals as the Lead Faculty of IFMA Nigeria, mentoring practitioners and advancing global best practices across the industry.

His commitment to raising professional standards extends beyond organisational leadership. He is a Facility Management Professional (FMP), a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management, and serves on the National Technical Committee 267/ISO 41001, contributing to the adoption and implementation of international facility management standards in Nigeria.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the profession, Adebayo received one of the industry’s highest honours in August 2025, when the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Houston, Texas, USA, named him among the Top Global FM Influencers, the only Nigerian to receive the prestigious recognition. The award celebrates professionals who are shaping the future of facility management through innovation, leadership, advocacy, and measurable impact on a global scale.

To continually provide informative and educational content on Facility Management, he is the anchor and producer of a podcast series known as FM Moment with Segun Adebayo, a premium thought-leadership podcast designed to spotlight the evolving world of Facility Management (FM) and its growing impact on business, infrastructure, sustainability and workplace excellence in Nigeria and across Africa. Throughout his career, Adebayo has consistently demonstrated that effective facility management extends beyond maintenance. His approach integrates governance, technology, sustainability, operational efficiency, and strategic planning to ensure that infrastructure assets deliver long-term value for organisations and society.

As Nigeria continues to invest in infrastructure, urban development, and smart cities, professionals with the ability to manage and optimise these investments are becoming increasingly indispensable.
